The Official Paul Bunyan Show features many exciting lumberjack and forestry competitions, educational experiences, demonstrations and just plain fun ! Use the schedule below in conjunction with the show maps and show guide to plan your visit !
The mission of the Paul Bunyan Show is to provide access to current knowledge and technology which enhances the quality of life and market competitiveness of individuals, families, industries, and communities. This mission is accomplished by showcasing research, products, services, and experience through educational exhibits, presentations, and demonstrations on the forest industries, natural resources and lifestyles.

8:00 am – Flapjacks for Lumberjacks
Join Ohio Tree Farmers in the education hall for a scrumptious fund-raising breakfast of Flapjacks with Ohio made syrup and sausage. Location: VFW Building
8:00 am – Opening Ceremonies
8:30 am – Ohio Master Logger Re-Certification
(additional fee applies, pre-registration required, Master Loggers only) This class satisfies Master Logger Recertification requirements for Chainsaw, Best Management Practices and General Subject. Location : Meet at the Education Hall.
10:00 am – Great Lakes Timber Show
This lumberjack show features chainsaw carving, axe throwing, wood chopping, one and two-man crosscut sawing, modified chain sawing, log rolling and loads of clean family humor. Location: Bunyan Blvd. South end of Fairgrounds.
11:00 am – Chipper/Grinder Demonstrations
Watch as Columbus Equipment Company, CBI, Bandit, Astec, Aggcorp, Maverick and Rotochopper demonstrate their chippers and grinders side by side. Location: Chipper/Grinder Demo area
11:00 am – Antique Chainsaw Demonstration
House-O-Saws will showcase and demonstrate their antique chainsaw collection. Location: Booth 500
11:30 am – Chainsaw Safety and Cutting Techniques
Join the folks from Husqvarna and North American Training Solutions (NATS) for an informative demonstration about how to operate your saw safely and some tips on cutting techniques. Sponsored by Husqvarna. Presented by NATS. Location: Husqvarna Chainsaw Arena
12:00 pm – Great Lakes Timber Show
This lumberjack show features chainsaw carving, axe throwing, wood chopping, one and two-man crosscut sawing, modified chainsawing, log rolling and loads of clean family humor. Location: Bunyan Blvd. South end of Fairgrounds.
1:00 pm – Technical Tree Cutting and Felling
Husqvarna and NATS will demonstrate how to fell a tree safely and land it accurately, utilizing precision felling methods and rigging. Sponsored by Husqvarna. Presented by NATS. Location: Husqvarna Chain Saw Arena
1:00 pm – Ohio State Lumberjack Competition℠
Watch as lumberjacks from the State of Ohio compete in horizontal chopping, open chainsaw, axe throwing and cross-cut sawing (two-person and Jack & Jill). Open to Ohio residents only. Location: Skills Stadium.
1:00 pm – Antique Chainsaw Demonstration+
House-O-Saws will showcase and demonstrate their antique chainsaw collection. Location: Booth 500
